I recently read on another
blog about painting on coffee filters. It sounded so interesting that we had to give it a go! Our experimentations did not yield exactly the same results but we had a lot of fun trying! I didn't realise at the time but the coffee filters I bought were brown so the results are not quite as vivid as they should be!
The paint - we started off with water with food colours added but that wasn't really bright enough so we swapped to powdered tempera paints

Jacob enjoyed painting with all the different colours
The end result. - Mummy ended up joining in so that's why some of them look a little different!!
As always, we had lots of fun! And that's what it's all about - even if it didn't exactly turn out quite as expected!

As long as they have fun during the painting, that's all that matters:)
We've done something similar with serviettes, they let the water spread. Plus we coloured with textas and dripped water onto it, it's gorgeous when they spread out.
Ohhh, serviettes is a great idea, Deb!
