A few weeks ago we did some papermache. Well, we finally got around to finishing them and painting them. Here are some pictures of the work in progress and the finished products.
Esme needed a bit of help to paint hers but Jacob did his almost entirely by himself - I was very impressed! I think they turned out pretty well in the end. Don't you?
Painting the giraffe finally inspired me to write a Zoo book for the kids from all our recent Zoo excursions. Jacob loves it, I have already read it to him many times on the computer (Daddy still has to print it so I can laminate it and bind it, he'd better hurry up ;))

Really??? Esme did that giraffe all by himself? Very impressive!!! You must be proud having your own little creative artist at home! =)
Sorry, I meant Jacob ;P
Yep, he did! I just helped with a bit of yellow on his legs. Jacob is so proud of his work, the giraffe gets carried around everywhere! I'm a bit worried about Esme's pig. I was going to use it as a pinata at her party but I think she's going to be devastated if it gets broken!!
Fabulous! And I applaud you for getting to the end of the project - an area we need to work on at my place. We are going to be trying the pinata thing for my son's bday though, so I'd better practise following through to the end.
1 c corn starch 1 c water for the pud :)
They are so pretty. What a wonderful job they both did!
