I hate using the phone.
I am deadly serious. I will go out of my way to avoid making phone calls. Friends, family, it doesn't matter who it is. Even if it's just a call to the local take away shop to order dinner I will avoid doing it. I'm sure I must drive Chris mad as he's forced to make all these phone calls that I won't do myself!
I don't know what it is about talking on the phone that I hate so much. Perhaps it's because I'm not the most articulate person and I worry about not coming across the right way over the phone. I am more than happy to talk to people in real life but the thought of talking on the phone leaves me a little, uhhhh...tongue-tied?
The only problem is I'm not so reliable on the old text messaging either. I do read them but often don't reply to them for days on end. Really need to work on getting used to that predictive text thing *blush*
So, friends, if I you haven't heard from me lately, I hope you understand why. And you may want to try email, msn or facebook for getting in contact with me. I am much more reliable there ;)

I don't like it either, I hate the time it takes me to talk, I'd much rather be doing something else. If I make a call I am always either on the treadmill or bike, which can get weird as I end up heavy breathing to whoever I am talking too!
I dislike talking on the phone too (although maybe not quite as much as you :-) ). I think it is why I am such a computer junkie - it was email that drew me in and then you can have so much other chat by typing.
Oh dear. Are you sure you aren't talking about me? Because that is me. I hate it. HATE IT. I don't mind answering the phone... in fact if someone calls me I love to have a little chat. But making the call? Uh-uh. NO WAY. I hate it. My husband hates that I hate it. And I think I have lost contact with some very good friends because I hate it. I don't even know why I hate it... I even pretend that I forgot to call to get out if it...
You are so totally not alone. I dislike making phone calls with a passion. I'm more your old-fashioned note- and letter- writing kind of girl. I seem to be able to express myself more eloquently and to the point when I have time to think and write down what I want. Hence why I text so much too.
So glad to know that I am not alone in all this! ;) Kerry, totally agree with you on the writing thing. Hence why I blog as well. I feel it's a way of people getting to know the real me because I'm not so articulate in real life!!
